The FV-88K-8S Survey Pack is FLYVOLT’s dedicated configuration for fixed-wing and VTOL mapping platforms where flight endurance is the primary design constraint. At 29.6 V and 88,000 mAh, it delivers 2,604 Wh — enough for 90–180 minute mission windows on purpose-built survey platforms, depending on airframe aerodynamic efficiency and payload.

Design intent

The 8S voltage configuration matches the motor controller input range of major fixed-wing and VTOL survey platforms. High capacity at moderate cell count keeps internal resistance low and discharge losses minimal over a long mission. Cell chemistry is Li-Ion (high energy density formulation) rather than LiPo, trading peak discharge current for superior Wh/kg — the correct trade-off for a platform that cruises at 1–2C rather than bursting at 5C+.

Endurance data

Endurance is airframe-dependent. FLYVOLT publishes reference data for common mapping platforms: approximately 110 minutes at 12 m/s cruise on a 6 kg fixed-wing with 400 g payload in ISA conditions. Extended endurance profiles and thermal derating for high-altitude or hot-weather operations are available from our engineering team.
